July 13th: Quebec Lighthouse Day
Quebec Lighthouse Day is celebrated each year on July 13th.
On this day a variety of special activities are held by the lighthouses along the Saint Lawrence. The goal of this thematic day is not only to raise awareness of the lighthouses, but also to encourage discovery of each one’s unique history.

“Fame Point: the Space of a Lifetime” is an exhibition about the way of life and maritime traditions of the light keepers and their families. From the top of the lighthouse you will be able to contemplate the spectacular panorama of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

“Marconi and the Story of Radio Communications”
This exhibition tells the fascinating story of the first marine wireless telegraphy radio station in North America.
You will learn about the life of Guglielmo Marconi, the radio operators, and those who operated the semaphore signals. Communications equipment used in Marconi’s time is on display.
